About me

       Looking back on all the exposure (no pun intended) that I was offered since I was a little girl, I consider myself blessed. I recall days that I was able to spend hours with my father, who was a teacher at the time, but photography & the dark room was his passion and he managed to remain commited to both. Discovering every new print – a masterpiece, as both of us waited anxiously and with bated breath for the lines of the image to appear in the developer in front of our eyes. Amazed – every time!How can anyone expect a little girl to ignore this magical world she had discovered, and through these unbelievable times with my dad and the experiences we shared together it was almost inevitable that it became my passion. It is therefore a natural progression that I am committed to being and becoming a better photographer every day.

When Himne, my eldest daughter was born in 2004, I purchased my first set of photographic equipment for studio work. At the time I was a student at the Branding and Communication institute VEGA, studying full-time photography, 2nd in my class – something that I learned to be proud of. I soon realised what it was that I appreciated – the enjoyment of capturing moments, the emotions that exist in each moment, the variety of the people and their many ways that I get to take in and even share, the different places we meet, the adrenalin and challenge of creating things on the scene that aren’t there, be it props to add to the feel, dimensions, even a mood, and eventually being able to “develop” the perfect shot, still waiting, anxiously and equally excited for those perfect lines to appear on each image after a day of giving it my all. Never a day goes by where I do not live life to the fullest and am richly rewarded with the efforts of my labour.
